We are seeking a skilled Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team at Symbotic. As a critical member of our Customer Operations organization, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the seamless operation of our robotic material handling system.
Your Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Perform routine inspections on automated storage and retrieval systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues with automated robotic vehicles, adapters, and lifts, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on all equipment and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate production-impacting problems and suggested solutions to team members, providing timely updates and recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Associate degree and/or certification in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience with mechanical automation systems, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, maintenance, and quality control.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC knowledge, troubleshooting, and electro-mechanical diagrams; ability to operate and run automated systems.
