Position Overview

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a qualified Travel Respiratory Therapist to join our dedicated team. This role requires a strong background in respiratory care, particularly in critical care settings.

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS: Basic Life Support
  • PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • State License Verification: Required
Job Specifications
  • CRT or RRT Accepted: Candidates must hold either certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is mandatory.
  • SICU Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a Surgical Intensive Care Unit is required.
  • Licensing: An Ohio RRT license must be held at the time of submission.
  • Submission Requirements: All requests for time off and scheduling must be communicated during the submission and interview process.
Essential Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience as an RRT.
  • 2 years of experience in SICU.
  • Current Ohio RRT license is essential.
Scheduling Information

It is crucial that all requests for time off and scheduling preferences are clearly communicated during the submission and interview stages.

Unit Specific Requirements
  • Completion of a unit-specific competency exam is required.
  • A unit-specific skills checklist must be completed.
Additional Information
  • Must possess a valid government-issued photo ID while on assignment.
  • Specific departments may require additional certifications.
  • Current NBRC certification is necessary for CRT and RRT candidates.
  • Unit-specific competency exams must be completed within 12 months of starting.
  • TB test results are required to finalize onboarding.
  • A pre-employment physical is necessary within a year of starting.
  • Fit Mask certification is required within 12 months of starting.
  • Negative 2 Step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot results are required within 6 months of starting.
  • A criminal background check is mandatory.
  • Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references are required.
  • Application must include a comprehensive work history for the past 3 years.
