Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct cursory examinations and physical examinations to assess students' health
• Evaluate and treat students within the scope of practice for LPNs/LVNs
• Collect vital information from students about their health complaints
• Work closely with healthcare professionals and administrative staff to provide prescribed medical treatment
• Administer medication, explain proper use of medications, and manage medication procedures
• Perform routine medical tasks, document actions, and maintain accurate records
• Assist with scheduling students' appointments and maintaining equipment and supplies
• Follow infection control procedures and document all procedures, counseling, and education provided to students
• Report to the Health and Wellness Director or Registered Nurse
• Attend required staff training sessions
• Perform venipuncture if certified
• Carry out other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in the state where the center is located
• One plus years' nursing experience; Job Corps experience desirable
• Sound nursing techniques, ability to relate effectively to students, and excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good organizational skills, ability to carry out instructions without constant supervision, and CPR certification
