Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse (OB) to join our team at the US Department of Health and Human Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to obstetric and neonatal patients, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to obstetrics/neonatal patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Administer prescribed medication and observe patients for adverse reactions.
  • Operate specialized monitoring equipment to ensure accurate patient data.
  • Provide patient and family counseling on possible reactions to medications, health maintenance, and illness prevention and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • At least one year of specialized experience in obstetric nursing, including experience in a hospital setting.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Montana.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Working Conditions

This position is located at either the Crow/Northern Cheyenne or Blackfeet hospitals in Montana. The selected candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends. On-call hours or standby duty may be required.
