**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assist in food preparation, serving, and cleaning duties
* Work with the dietitian to implement recommended changes and ensure compliance with established policies
* Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel and other departments within the facility
* Participate in staff development and attend workshops, seminars, and in-service training programs
* Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to sanitary regulations and established policies
* Report all hazardous conditions, accidents, and incidents to your supervisor

**Requirements:**

* High school education or equivalent
* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
* Ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and visitors
* Ability to follow oral and written instructions and maintain confidentiality of resident care information
* Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
* Ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing dietary practices

**Working Conditions:**

* Works in well-lighted and ventilated areas
* Moves intermittently during working hours
* Subject to frequent interruptions and hostile or emotionally upset residents
* Communicates with medical staff, nursing staff, and other department supervisors
* Works beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary
