About the Role

Sedron Technologies is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating custom industrial equipment designs, including 3D CAD models, production quality 2D drawings, and engineering reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design of custom industrial equipment, including 3D CAD modeling, production quality 2D drawing creation, and engineering reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and relevant professional codes, including proper CAD data handling and storage.
  • Generate properly constrained, well-organized assemblies and corresponding machining, welding, and assembly drawings with GD&T as required, and bill of materials.
  • Excel in a fast-paced product development environment, taking designs from concept through production.
  • Learn new skills quickly and take complete ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Ensure materials are organized and ready for manufacturing, including carrying out purchasing activities.
  • Interface with manufacturing to ensure parts meet specified requirements.
  • Prioritize duties and responsibilities to fulfill objectives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work individually and within a multidisciplinary team, communicating and collaborating with technicians and engineers alike.
  • Comply with all safety, 5S, and HazMat practices.
  • Work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
  • Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate passion and excitement for solving difficult yet exciting tasks.
  • Maintain good organization skills.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering technology or a related field, or relevant certifications and/or experience can be substituted for a degree.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in a professional setting.
  • Experience with NX or equivalent 3D CAD software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Proficiency with basic engineering mathematics.
  • Experience with ASME Y and ASME BPVC and ability to complete code calculations is preferred.
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
Additional Information

The wage range for this role is between $28.00-$45.00/hourly. Discretionary bonus and additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay are also available.

Must be a US Citizen or legal permanent resident for this position. We are unable to sponsor any employment visas.
