Your Responsibilities: As a vital member of our first response team, you will be prepared to act swiftly when a fire or water emergency impacts a residence or business, regardless of the hour. You will promptly assess the situation upon arrival, initiate damage mitigation, and manage cleanup efforts. Your role will involve transforming chaos into order, monitoring daily progress, documenting your actions, and keeping clients informed throughout the process. You will collaborate with your team until the property is restored to its pre-loss condition or improved.

Key Duties:
- Respond to property damage incidents involving fire, water, mold, and storms
- Conduct fire/smoke damage cleanup, water damage remediation, odor elimination, and mold remediation services in accordance with IICRC S500 and industry standards
- Ensure thorough and precise documentation of damage, work progress, and equipment readings using internal systems
- Demolish and remove damaged building materials and debris
- Pack and categorize affected items
- Clean hard surface floors, walls, and carpets
- Occasionally clean hard contents and furniture
- Occasionally move large or heavy furniture
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment inventory, ensuring all tools are cleaned and ready for use
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, Crew Chief, and management regarding project updates and concerns
- Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications:
- IICRC FSRT/OCT/WRT/ASD/AMRT or other relevant certifications preferred, or a willingness to complete these technical certification courses within the first 90 days of employment; compensation will increase with certification attainment.
- A genuine desire to assist others and willingness to engage in hands-on work
- Availability to work rotating on-call shifts outside of regular business hours for additional pay
- Professional demeanor and service-oriented mindset; ability to respond calmly and confidently in emergency situations
- Strong communication abilities
- Empathy, patience, and compassion; capacity to understand and anticipate the needs of distressed clients and provide high-quality service
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to find solutions to on-the-job challenges
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical capability to climb ladders and lift at least 50 pounds
- Able to work in confined spaces
- Comfortable using industrial-grade cleaning agents and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
This role may involve occasional scheduled on-call support, including evening and weekend hours for emergency jobs. Bonuses will be awarded for on-call work.
A clean driving record and reliable transportation are required. Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
