Position Overview

Required: Food Managers Certificate and full-time availability Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Designs and prepares meals in compliance with Kids 'R' Kids standards, as well as state and USDA regulations.
  2. Procures and organizes food and supplies essential for executing the planned menus for enrolled children.
  3. In collaboration with the owner or director, adjusts menus for children with dietary restrictions, ensuring all changes are documented on the displayed menu.
  4. Prepares meals and snacks in a manner that preserves maximum nutrients, ensuring appealing taste and presentation, while providing sufficient portions for children to have seconds.
  5. Follows CACFP Food Nutrition Guidelines during meal service.
  6. Upholds established standards of hygiene, safety, and food preparation and storage as dictated by Kids 'R' Kids International and local health authorities; maintains a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
  7. If necessary, delivers prepared foods from the kitchen to classrooms, ensuring they are suitable for the children's age and developmental needs.
  8. Ensures proper care and maintenance of all kitchen equipment; identifies needs for food preparation and service equipment and assists in procurement as required.
  9. Completes additional tasks as assigned by the Director or Owner when necessary.
