Position Overview:

The BIM Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting our Design Team by developing and maintaining templates, families, details, and reference documents, while ensuring the overall integrity of our evolving BIM platform. This position also involves assisting project teams with architectural drafting and design tasks as required. A solid understanding of construction documents, specifications, and the shop drawing review process is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance the existing Revit template while creating new BIM families.
  • Utilize Revit to construct and update 3D models, floor plans, site plans, elevations, sections, details, and renderings for various projects.
  • Educate the Design Team on efficient Revit usage and establish best practices.
  • Generate digital drawings from conceptual sketches.
  • Develop and revise construction documents and drawing details, including check-sets, shop drawings, and as-builts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in architecture or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in construction and/or architecture.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience with Revit.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the DESIGNBUILD process.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to convert verbal and written information into technical drawings and graphics.
  • Capacity to understand and retain detailed information.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to changing demands.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • A broad knowledge of various construction types and techniques, including steel, wood, precast, and masonry.
  • Valid driver's license.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly company Job Progress meetings.
  • Engage in weekly Design Team meetings and monthly critiques.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary throughout the construction process.
  • Stay updated on Revit program enhancements provided by Autodesk and Master Graphics.
  • Offer Revit training sessions to new team members.
  • Engage in quarterly performance discussions with the Director of Design.
