Position Summary:

The Senior CNC Machining Supervisor will oversee the daily functions of the Mazak i1250s, which includes setup, operation, necessary inspections, troubleshooting, and the production of machined components via computer numerical control (CNC) machinery. The work schedule consists of Monday to Thursday with 12-hour shifts; includes a 20% shift premium.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team in a manufacturing setting
  • Facilitate communication and enhance the technical skills of team members
  • Onboard and train new personnel
  • Load components and operate machinery (Lathe, Mill, and/or EDM)
  • Ensure uninterrupted production of components that fulfill customer requirements
  • Make minor adjustments to CNC programs and replace tooling as necessary
  • Conduct inspections of finished components using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, and comparators
  • Uphold quality standards through a thorough understanding of the Quality Management System
  • Monitor and document operational and performance challenges, providing feedback to management
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience
  • Strong team-oriented mindset
  • Self-driven with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Combination of technical, interpersonal, and continuous learning skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to navigate complex tasks
  • Able to thrive in a customer-focused, deadline-oriented environment while maintaining a positive demeanor
