Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to our students and staff, while also contributing to the development and implementation of health-related programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care and first aid to students and staff as needed
  • Develop and implement health-related programs and initiatives to promote student well-being and academic success
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to support student learning and health
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify students with special health needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) for students with special health needs
  • Provide health education and counseling to students and staff
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students and staff
  • Participate in district-wide health initiatives and committees
Requirements
  • BSN from an accredited institution
  • California-issued RN license
  • Valid Public Health Nursing Certificate
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Preliminary/Clear School Nurse Services Credential (can be obtained post-job offer)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a school setting
  • Knowledge of California Department of Education (CDE) and California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regulations and guidelines
  • Experience with health-related software and technology
