Maintenance Planner Job Description

The Maintenance Planner plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of plant equipment at Bradford White. This position requires a strong partnership with the Maintenance and Engineering team to develop and implement tactical and strategic maintenance and reliability strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Technicians, and Operations to ensure effective communication on plant equipment issues and optimize uptime.
  • Work with production supervisors, engineers, and outside contractors to maximize plant efficiencies and machine up-time based on root cause investigation.
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance procedures, ensuring their compliance.
  • Review completed PM work orders to identify opportunities for improvement and create required work orders.
  • Coordinate and perform PM audits to ensure proper execution.
  • Coordinate with various vendors to execute repairs of rebuildable items and maintain associated inventory.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, production, and engineering for any major changes to equipment.
  • Partner with applicable team members to ensure new equipment is on-boarded successfully from a maintenance perspective.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and inventory team to ensure crib stock is updated and key parts are stocked appropriately.
  • Utilize various computer programs to organize, monitor, and communicate department objectives and activities.
  • Support continuous improvement efficiencies in maintenance key processes.
Requirements:
  • 3 years' experience with operating and/or maintaining factory equipment required.
  • Knowledge of parts and Industrial Maintenance, Skilled Trades Certification or related training and experience preferred.
  • Ability to work well with team members from multiple departments.
  • Strong track record for driving continuous improvement utilizing effective problem-solving methods.
  • Proficient in standard computer software such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and implement new ideas, concepts, and programs to improve maintenance department.
  • Oracle EAM or similar ERP system experience preferred.
