Position Overview

The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities within their designated value stream. This role is crucial for ensuring that operations are conducted in a cost-effective manner while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Ensure that production processes adhere to the quality benchmarks established by the organization.
  • Facilitate the training and development of team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and leadership to prioritize production schedules effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance team to support routine and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Optimize production scheduling to meet plant output goals.
  • Identify and implement cost control measures in partnership with management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
  • Collect and analyze production data, KPIs, and other metrics to generate reports as needed.
  • Operate transparently and build trust through effective communication and actions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results with a positive attitude.
  • A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within metal fabrication.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to multitask and work independently.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse team effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in leading teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of welding and fabrication processes.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
