About the Role

UT Southwestern is seeking a highly skilled Imaging Technologist - Multi-Modality to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including MRI, CT, US, Mammography, and other modalities, under the supervision of physicians.
  • Review physician orders for accuracy and completeness, and ensure that all necessary information is obtained from patients prior to procedures.
  • Screen patients for contrast allergies, contraindications, and other factors that may impact imaging exams.
  • Discuss findings with radiologists and other healthcare professionals as needed, and document changes in electronic health records.
  • Ensure that all imaging procedures are performed accurately and efficiently, and that images and records are properly completed and labeled.
  • Administer oral and/or intravenous injections of contrast material as needed, and observe patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform quality control testing and maintenance on imaging equipment, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in one or more modalities (MRI, CT, US, Mammography, etc.).
  • Licensure by the Texas Medical Board (excluding MRI).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Two years of experience in diagnostic imaging preferred.
Working Conditions

This position is primarily performed in a hospital or hospital clinic environment. The ability to lift 40-50 pounds is required.
