Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Emergency Transport Paramedic is responsible for responding to medical emergencies and delivering advanced critical care during patient transport. As the initial healthcare provider on the scene, you will collaborate with emergency responders to assess situations effectively.

Your duties will include:

  • Operating emergency medical vehicles and responding to urgent calls.
  • Assessing patient conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Administering a range of emergency medical interventions to injured or ill individuals.
  • Performing invasive procedures in challenging environments.
  • Managing non-medical scenarios, such as crowd control and safeguarding patient belongings.
  • Transporting patients while ensuring their stability throughout the journey.
  • Communicating vital patient information to medical personnel at receiving facilities.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following certifications and qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Completion of NIMS training courses within specified timeframes.
- Emergency Medical Paramedic (EMP) certification.
- Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) certification within 30 days of employment.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Graduation from a Vocational School.
