Schnabel Engineering is a professional consulting firm dedicated to solving complex problems related to the earth and environment. We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team and support our engineering group in the evaluation and design of dams, structures, and facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited institution and 2-5+ years of engineering experience. They will also possess a strong understanding of water infrastructure projects, including dams, hydropower plants, pump stations, and large diameter pipelines.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the on-site Construction Management/Quality Control and Quality Assurance team, responsible for interfacing and communicating with the owner, Schnabel engineering staff, and contractors. They will also participate in problem-solving with the design engineering team, construction team, and owners during construction.

In addition to their technical skills, the candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. They will also be able to lift 60 pounds and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, enter trenches, climb ladders, and work outside.
