Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist - OR/Scrub

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at a top-rated hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a travel nurse with Travel Nurses, Inc., you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with a talented team of healthcare professionals.

Job Summary:

This 12-week contract position requires a Certified Surgical Technologist with 1-2 years of recent experience in the OR/Scrub specialty. You will work 36 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts, and be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring they are properly positioned and draped
  • Maintain a sterile environment by following proper protocols and procedures
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia team to ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately and efficiently
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
  • 1-2 years of recent experience in the OR/Scrub specialty
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a sterile environment and follow proper protocols and procedures
