Role Summary

The Value Stream Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Production Manager with the continuous improvement processes within a stable value stream, from procurement to delivery. This position is instrumental in achieving targets related to safety, quality, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and employee development within the value stream.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mentor, train, and develop a team of versatile, multi-skilled associates in alignment with Andersen Corporation's values and strategic objectives, fostering a respectful workplace.
  • Monitor production schedules to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Ensure product quality standards are met through adherence to established protocols, training in operational and inspection methods, and effective use of tools and data.
  • Implement customer-centric processes based on lean methodologies, providing training and guidance to enhance standard work practices, work area organization (5S), and overall cleanliness.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to challenge existing processes and propose solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Assist team members in understanding company policies and procedures, addressing process-related challenges, and supporting corrective actions to improve team performance.
  • Engage with team members daily to discuss work center performance, strategic initiatives, policy updates, safety, and quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with fellow supervisors and support teams on equipment management, safety protocols, work center scheduling, continuous improvement efforts, and performance enhancement plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Proven ability to motivate and engage teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting with a strong grasp of manufacturing principles.
  • Ongoing education in Management, Human Resources, Accounting, Manufacturing, Leadership, or Coaching.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Lean certification is advantageous.
