This position is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and safety of water services provided to the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair water treatment and distribution systems.
  • Calibrate and service equipment related to water treatment and distribution.
  • Collect and analyze water samples, maintaining accurate records and logs.
  • Adjust chemical feed levels and pump operations to ensure optimal water supply.
  • Conduct inspections of pumps, wells, and related equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on water system components.
  • Monitor water distribution systems and storage tank levels regularly.
  • Flush fire hydrants and conduct water pressure tests as required.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and enter data into the computer system.
  • Investigate and address high consumption readings and leaks in service lines.
  • Assist in the installation and maintenance of water lines and taps.
  • Respond to emergency situations involving water facilities.
  • Maintain grounds at well and pump sites.
  • Provide professional customer service and respond to public inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of water utility operations and maintenance practices.
