Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Nurse Hustle is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Urbana, Illinois.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist will work in the Heart & Vascular Institute, providing care to patients requiring invasive cardiology or radiology studies. The ideal candidate will assist physicians in procedures, provide patient care, and maintain accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer contrast material as needed, recognizing and responding to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions.
  • Assist with inventory and supplies, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Verify patient and chart identification, diagnosis, and treatment position.
  • Compile clinical information from lab, pathology, and other sources.
  • Provide instruction to new staff members as needed.
  • Document patient care and procedures accurately and completely.
  • Inform procedural nurses of correct doses of intra-procedural medications, radiation, and sponge/sharp counts.
  • Perform on-call duties and work variable shifts as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.) and ACLS (American Heart Assoc.) certifications.
  • IEMA Radiography License in Illinois and Radiography (R)(ARRT) certification.

Nurse Hustle offers a competitive pay package based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
