Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on local routes, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks, including inspections of the tractor, trailer, and cargo, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Unload products from the trailer and transport them to designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of products with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect payment from customers, as required.
  • Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure the trailer doors.
Requirements
  • 12 months of commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL A license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Meet all state licensing and certification requirements.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card.
