Direct Support Professional 3 Job Description
This position involves providing support and assistance in Level 3 residential programs for individuals who require daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living. The ideal candidate will create opportunities for individuals to develop their skills and foster independence while adhering to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living
- Create opportunities for individuals to develop their skills and foster independence
- Provide services according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and Bridgewell policies and procedures
- Transport individuals as needed to medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Microsoft product proficiency
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, climb stairs frequently, and have normal range of eyesight and hearing
