Key Responsibilities
  • Referral Processing: Ensure that referrals are processed and completed in a timely manner, maintaining ongoing tracking and documentation.
  • Communication: Contact organizations and insurance companies to ensure prior authorization requirements are met, and maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Registration and Documentation: Ensure complete and accurate registration, including patient demographics and current insurance information, and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively under pressure, handling demands from multiple sources professionally and courteously, and exemplify a team concept.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required, AA Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' of healthcare insurance or related experience required, relevant office/clerical experience required, and coding experience preferred.
  • Skills: Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking abilities preferred, ability to work with a culturally diverse population, and good oral and written communication skills.
