Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Restaurant Cook to join our culinary team. As a Restaurant Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to order, plating them to perfection, and working closely with our servers to ensure that orders are completed according to customers' requests and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook dishes to order, following recipes and menu items created by our Head Chef
  • Plate prepared foods based on Head Chef's guidance and restaurant's standards
  • Assist with stocking and setting up all kitchen stations
  • Prepare food, including cleaning and cutting ingredients for main dishes, desserts, and appetizers
  • Work closely with our servers to ensure that orders are completed according to customers' requests and in a timely manner
  • Clean and organize your station, stock up for the next shift, and help clean the kitchen
Requirements
  • 1+ years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
  • Strong kitchen administration knowledge
  • Exceptional active listening skills
  • Ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift up to 30 pounds at a time
About the Role

This is a full- or part-time cooking position with flexible hours. We offer a competitive wage of 17+ an hour and top-notch benefits, including health insurance and a Cal Savers retirement plan. Our culinary staff enjoys working flexible hours and receiving employee meals and tips.
