About This RoleWe're seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our US-based engineering team, who will contribute to the development of robust cloud-native applications, services, and APIs. As a security expert, you'll perform secure code reviews, lead our security working group, and champion secure coding practices within the team.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing, building, and supporting cloud-native applications, services, and APIs that meet the needs of our rapidly growing business.
- Serving as a subject-matter expert for application security, performing secure code reviews, leading our security working group, and promoting secure coding practices within the team.
- Researching commercial and open-source solutions, making build vs buy recommendations, and integrating new capabilities into our technology organization.
- Enhancing existing systems to add new functionality, improve performance, stability, quality, and security, while limiting technical debt.
- Building deep user empathy and maintaining a user-centric mindset.
- Communicating effectively within and on behalf of cross-functional product delivery teams, collaborating with design, product, machine learning, and platform engineering disciplines.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience, with several years of experience building and shipping cloud-native applications using Typescript and React.
- Passion for software security and experience at multiple levels of the stack, including identifying vulnerabilities, writing secure code, and architecting secure systems.
- Experience working in regulated environments, such as SOC2 and HITRUST compliance frameworks.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and tools, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excitement about being hands-on in a fast-paced, productive environment, willing to pitch in wherever needed.
Abridge provides a comprehensive compensation package, including:
- Estimated salary range: $185,000 - $265,000 per year.
- Equity participation for all salaried team members.
- Medical insurance coverage, with 100% premium paid for employees and 75% for dependents.
- Dental and vision insurance, with 100% premium paid for employees and 75% for dependents.
- Flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts.
- Learning and development budget of $3,000 per year for coaching, courses, workshops, conferences, etc.

- Paid parental leave of 16 weeks for all full-time employees.
