Role Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the production team, ensuring that operational goals are met efficiently. This role involves supervising production operators and ensuring adherence to established procedures and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise personnel operating production machinery, assembling products, conducting quality checks, and packaging items for distribution.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility by implementing best practices and encouraging employee participation.
  • Coordinate workflow within the department, ensuring adequate inventory levels and appropriate staffing to meet production demands.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and other departments to uphold product quality and maintain our reputation as an industry leader.
  • Manage workforce levels in accordance with company policies to align with production schedules and cost objectives.
  • Develop a high-performing production team through effective hiring, training, and certification processes.
  • Monitor production output against established schedules and quality benchmarks.
  • Ensure that all work performed meets company standards for quality through a robust quality assurance process.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma (or GED) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant operations or manufacturing experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Familiarity with 5S, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to manufacturing equipment is essential.
  • Proficient in manufacturing or ERP systems, including data entry and collection.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Working Conditions
  • Indoor office environment with a focus on desk work and computer use.
  • Ability to navigate the production facility as needed.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 15 lbs independently.
