**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer in Test to join our team at Pyramid Consulting, Inc. as a contract position. This is a 12+ months opportunity with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated testing frameworks using Java, Python, and other relevant technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing needs.
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure that testing is integrated into the development process.
  • Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain testing processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to the development of testing strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve testing capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software product experience working on commercially available software.
  • 3+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automation.
  • Proven experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Testing Process and automation experience.
  • Financial services and agile experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or greater is required.
  • Hands-on experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks like JUnit, Cucumber, FitNesse.
  • Intermediate Java skills.
  • Good understanding of web services testing.
  • SQL skills is a must.
  • Data analysis and technical troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python programming language.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks like Selenium, Test API, WireMock.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
