Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Assistant to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinicians and patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clinicians during examinations, obtaining and recording routine information, and performing other related duties.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and interact with patients, visitors, and hospital employees with courtesy and tact.
  • Collect, verify, and record required information according to established procedures and instructions.
  • Identify and report unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants, or Physicians.
  • Obtain records, files, and results for appointments and enter related information on computer systems.
  • Answer, screen, and route telephone calls and perform general office support tasks.
  • Provide general support for clinical operations, including stocking, maintaining, and ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area and ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies.
  • Transport patients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience or related healthcare experience.
  • Pediatric experience strongly preferred.
  • A HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to work with computer systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
