We are seeking an Automotive Service Specialist to join our team at Richards Auto Repair in Canton, GA. This role is perfect for a skilled Mechanic and Repair Technician looking to utilize their expertise in vehicle maintenance and repair. As a Vehicular Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting customer vehicles, diagnosing problems with the engine or other systems, performing routine maintenance, and completing necessary repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Examine cars based on customer requests or concerns
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, including changing motor oil, rotating tires, and checking fluid levels
  • Repair or replace worn parts and systems, such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors
  • Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems
  • Identify mechanical and electrical problems using manual and computerized diagnostic equipment
  • Present estimates to customers, explaining why repairs are necessary
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Completion of a postsecondary program in automotive service technology a plus
  • Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical strength and stamina, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License required
  • Able to work 9-hour shifts
