Overview

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) is dedicated to leading and enhancing the U.S. Government's counterintelligence (CI) and security initiatives, which are vital for safeguarding our nation. The agency also engages in CI outreach to U.S. private sector organizations that may be vulnerable to foreign intelligence threats and issues public alerts regarding intelligence risks to the United States.

Agency Clarification

Key Responsibilities

The Strategic Assessments Group (SAG) within the National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC) is responsible for overseeing equity reviews and formal damage assessments across the Intelligence Community (IC). The SAG All-Source Analyst/CI will play a pivotal role on a multidisciplinary team, engaging in the following tasks:

1. Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on intricate national CI matters for senior policymakers and key stakeholders within the IC, law enforcement, and the ODNI, focusing on lessons learned from the CI community.

2. Spearhead the creation and dissemination of finished intelligence products pertinent to the aforementioned issues.

3. Provide expert leadership and guidance in the planning and application of various analytical methodologies to achieve a thorough understanding of complex analytical challenges, integrating insights into well-structured CI-related topics.

4. Prepare and deliver written and oral presentations to senior stakeholders on critical counterintelligence topics, ensuring clarity in communicating complex ideas to non-expert audiences.

5. Develop a systematic approach for cataloging historical assessments and information to support community requirements.

6. Foster and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, experts, IC members, and law enforcement agencies to facilitate information sharing and collaboration.

7. Contribute to the formulation of Terms of Reference for community damage assessments and lead in drafting sections of these assessments.

8. Research and recommend collaboration tools and policies to enhance cooperative efforts.

Qualifications

Conditions of Employment

Must be a current permanent employee of the ODNI or a federal agency.

Must possess supervisory approval to apply for this detail.

Education

A Bachelor's degree is required.
