Cleveland Clinic's Medina Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for exams, operating imaging equipment, and obtaining high-quality images while minimizing radiation dose.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited school of radiologic technology, be registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and possess current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist. Basic Life Support certification is also required.

This is a full-time position with on-call requirements and floats between Cleveland Clinic's Medina Hospital and Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Hospital. The caregiver will work 3:00pm - 11:30pm and be responsible for performing general radiology exams, portable exams, and fluoroscopic procedures.

The caregiver will also be responsible for producing quality images for interpretation, acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS, ensuring patient comfort and safety, educating patients regarding procedures and equipment, and maintaining documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general radiology exams, portable exams, and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay
  • Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
  • Maintain documentation
  • Address equipment malfunctions, notify management, and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator
  • Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree from an accredited school of radiologic technology
  • Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
  • Basic Life Support certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily
