We are seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and providing high-quality images for medical professionals to interpret.
Key Responsibilities- Explaining sonographic procedures to patients and preparing them for exams
- Positioning patients on the table and applying gel to the skin
- Ensuring clear images for diagnostic purposes and adjusting equipment as needed
- Selecting appropriate settings and adjusting patient positions
- Monitoring and caring for patients during procedures
- Selecting and examining images to determine if the scope of the exam should be extended
- Presenting sonograms and preliminary findings to physicians
- Completing documentation and maintaining patient histories and medical records
- Assisting physicians and healthcare teams during invasive procedures
- Maintaining and cleaning sonographic equipment
- Performing medical procedures, such as administering oxygen and taking vital signs
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Graduate from a fully accredited Sonography program
- Active unencumbered Sonography state license
- One year of Epic experience
- COVID vaccine with 2 shots and booster
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and service excellence
- Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
