We're looking for top-tier talent to join our team. As a Senior Construction Engineer, you will work in conjunction with multiple groups to develop, engineer, and initiate critical infrastructure engineering plans. This position resides in the Regional Customer Network Solution department and is considered a lead position that requires the individual to be an accomplished technical engineer/planner who is adept at budgeting, planning, facilitating, and kicking highly accurate plans off for deployment of critical system telecom equipment and build outs with specific expertise in areas of telecommunications with emphasis of site civil construction, DC power, electrical and mechanical.
Main Responsibilities
- Project Planning – develop project plans including all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion, tasks, and timelines with great vision and clarity while performing risk assessment, contingency planning, and resource management to ensure services are consistently delivered correctly and cost effectively on a timely manner.
- Project Implementation – facilitate project tasks through daily communication and weekly team meetings; managing vendors in ordering, shipping, and receiving of all hardware and equipment; coordinate with Field Operations in space and power requirements while following through with the deployment and installations of network elements and common systems.
- Project Reporting – effectively communicate project plan and status with high clarity, visibility, and frequency while capturing and measuring metrics and monitoring performance against the project tasks and dependencies.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in construction science and management, engineering, architecture, business administration, or a related degree
- Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities
- Ability to prioritize with good time management skills
- OSHA 30-Hour Outreach Training
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience reading Blueprints/A&E drawings and Schematics
Location
This is a work from home position within the U.S.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
