Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly, maintaining eye contact and expressing gratitude for their business.
  • Deliver a friendly, helpful, and safe shopping experience that aligns with customer expectations.
  • Project a professional image in accordance with company dress standards.
  • Efficiently process transactions at the cashier station.
  • Stay informed about regulations related to WIC orders, food stamps, health guidelines, and applicable sales.
  • Encourage the sale of additional products.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the cashier station and throughout the store.
  • Assist in bagging groceries for customers as needed.
  • Return misplaced items to their proper locations.
  • Help customers locate products within the store.
  • Accurately handle various forms of payment including cash, checks, and coupons.
  • Address customer inquiries or complaints professionally and work towards effective resolutions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities are required.
  • Reliability is a must.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to read and write at an 8th-grade level.
  • Proficiency in counting money accurately.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for 4-8 hour shifts consistently.
  • Frequent walking, bending, twisting, and reaching are necessary.
  • Repetitive use of hands, wrists, arms, and shoulders is required.
  • Frequent lifting of items weighing up to 10 pounds from waist to shoulder height.
  • Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 36 pounds from floor to waist.
  • Occasional carrying of items weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Occasional pushing and pulling of loads up to 40 pounds.
  • Capability to work effectively in a retail environment.
Compensation

$12.30/hour
