SST Direct is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to lead our electrical installation and maintenance projects. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will oversee and manage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Oversee multiple crews on major projects.
- Manage material procurement and requisition needs.
- Establish workflows and sequences to ensure projects remain on track.
- Enforce safety regulations and foster a culture of workplace safety.
- Journeyman Electrician certification preferred.
- Five or more years of experience supervising construction projects.
- Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated history of successful leadership.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding one-line diagrams and PLCs.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Class A CDL preferred.
- Ability to think clearly, remain calm, and demonstrate problem-solving skills using good judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
