Dental Care Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dental Care Specialist to join our team at JWCH Institute. As a key member of our dental staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental care, educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices, and designing community outreach programs to enhance dental health awareness and accessibility.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough dental exams, diagnose conditions, and prescribe treatments in line with clinical protocols.
  • Perform procedures such as exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
  • Deliver high-quality dental care, addressing patient concerns and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
  • Design and implement community outreach programs to enhance dental health awareness and accessibility.
  • Maintain precise patient records and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Partner with healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and support for patients' overall health and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Current and valid dental license in CA.
  • 1-2 years of experience in clinical dentistry, preferably in a community health or underserved setting.
  • Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a compassionate patient-centered approach to care.
  • Current DEA Certificate and CPR/BLS Certification from American Heart Association.
  • Ability to travel from site to site as needed and experience working with clients and staff from diverse backgrounds.
