Job Overview

Position Summary:

The primary role of the Mortgage Rate Lock Specialist is to facilitate the Lock Desk operations by managing rate lock transactions, processing requests for changes and extensions, while ensuring compliance with established rate lock protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely processing of rate lock requests utilizing the pricing engine and loan origination system (LOS).
  • Collaboration with Mortgage Operations and Sales teams on loan modifications, repricing, and extension inquiries.
  • Conduct competitive research to gauge pricing trends.
  • Verification of mortgage loan pricing against published rate sheets.
  • Preparation of various reports related to mortgage loan pipelines and production metrics.
  • Execution of additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
