Polysomnography Tech

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a skilled Sleep Technician to conduct sleep studies and deliver exceptional patient care. As a key member of our sleep medicine team, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and managing sleep disorders, helping patients achieve restful and restorative sleep.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and monitor overnight sleep studies (polysomnography) and other related tests.
  • Set up and calibrate sleep study equipment, ensuring accurate data collection.
  • Record patient data, including physiological measurements and behavioral observations.
  • Analyze sleep study results and prepare detailed reports for review by sleep specialists.
  • Educate patients about sleep disorders, testing procedures, and equipment use.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot sleep study equipment as needed.
  • Ensure a clean and comfortable environment for patients during their sleep studies.
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • We are looking for candidates with Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credentials from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certifications from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM). Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of sleep disorders and diagnostic procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
