The MES Engineer Level 2 supports activities such as requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and use of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This role operates with some supervision and autonomy, requiring strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with various departments. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring safety and meeting training requirements in a GMP environment
  • Developing technical knowledge on manufacturing equipment and process automation systems
  • Managing equipment breakdowns and quality issues, providing SME support to Manufacturing and other departments
  • Conducting troubleshooting and technical analyses on manufacturing equipment and process control systems

This role also involves:

  • Assisting with tech transfer of new processes into the facility
  • Completing change request lot assessments to support lot release
  • Participating in IPT/JPT meetings as MES representative
Projects

The MES Engineer Level 2 plays a crucial role in planning and executing plant projects involving automation changes and process improvements. This includes:

  • Executing test scripts, designing, execution, simulation, and wet testing
  • Own change requests and complete change request tasks to support project completion
  • Performing change request assessments
Deviations / RCAs

This role requires collaboration with the Quality department on deviation investigations and participating in RCAs as MES representative. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with completion of CAPA actions
  • Participating in quality risk assessments
Documentation

The MES Engineer Level 2 is responsible for reviewing and revising automation and Manufacturing-related SOPs, Functional Specifications, and work instructions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing MES review/approval of batch records
  • Authoring and reviewing test protocols

Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related discipline, related work experience in a GMP environment, strong communication and leadership skills are required. Ability to secure relevant information, identify key issues and relationships, evaluate engineering problems, and propose solutions are essential.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
