We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at PennState Health. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and lab results to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patients' responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- A currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or a registered nurse candidate who has completed an approved nursing education program.
- Experience working in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic healthcare team.
