Job Summary

Miracle Grow Learning Academy is seeking a skilled Food Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for preparing healthy meals and snacks for our children and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement home-style meal plans that meet the nutritional needs of our children, within the boundaries of our school's menu and budget.
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks to our children and staff, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Follow the daily menu provided by the Director, incorporating USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
  • Manage inventory of food and supplies, ordering as needed.
  • Assist in classrooms as needed, providing support as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
  • Provide exceptional care and compassion to our children, demonstrating a love for your work.
  • Bring experience in cooking and food preparation for multiple individuals, preferably in a childcare facility.
  • Stay up-to-date on current state and local regulations.
  • Be flexible with your schedule and hours.
  • Hold a High School diploma or equivalent, and be at least 18 years old.
