Join Our Gardening Team

We are seeking volunteers to help with gardening tasks at Shinzen Garden on the third Saturday mornings of each month. Our team of volunteer gardeners arrive at 8:30 am to work on scheduled tasks, including weeding, trimming shrubs, raking leaves, and spreading compost.

Opportunities for Learning

As a volunteer gardener, you will have the opportunity to work in the Clark Bonsai Collection, where you will tend to landscape plants, clean pathways, remove pine needles from rock gardens, and assist with the overall maintenance of the area.

Develop Your Skills

You will also have the chance to learn about aesthetic pruning and become familiar with horticulture names of plants and the best environment for successful planting.

Flexible Schedule

The work usually concludes at noon or before, making it a great opportunity for those who want to give back to the community and gain gardening experience on a flexible schedule.
