North Mississippi Health Services is in search of a per diem / PRN Registered Nurse specializing in Home Health for a nursing role in the Tupelo area.
Position Overview & Requirements- Specialty: Home Health

This role involves delivering high-quality skilled nursing care within the home setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing the highest standards of patient care in accordance with physician directives.
- Conducting and documenting supervisory visits for Home Health Aides and LPNs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Facilitating communication among all members of the healthcare team.
- Assessing the effectiveness of care provided to patients.
- Accurately documenting patient care in a timely manner.
- Educating patients and caregivers on disease management and skilled care in the home environment.
- Performing clinical assessments during each visit, identifying issues and taking appropriate actions.
- Reporting patient conditions and responses to treatments, medications, and significant incidents to the physician.
- Maintaining precise and current patient clinical records, tracking supply usage, and keeping accurate daily visit logs.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
- Current licensure by the Mississippi Board of Nursing is mandatory.
- A minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience as a registered nurse is required for hospice care.
- Current BLS CPR certification is essential.
- Basic computer skills are preferred.
- Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics) is necessary to provide appropriate care as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.
