We are seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist (number of hours per week) to join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mobile Phlebotomist is dedicated to serving patients by preparing specimens for laboratory testing and adhering to screening standards. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples while fostering an environment of trust and assurance.
PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES:
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Proficient in performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging samples, maintaining records, and ensuring decontamination.
- Provide courteous and professional greetings to all customers.
- Collect specimens in accordance with established protocols, clearly explaining the venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods.
- Alleviate patient anxiety by creating a calm atmosphere before, during, and after the collection process.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using straight and butterfly needles.
- Fully comprehend all physician orders.
- Match laboratory requisition forms with specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
- Verify all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure accuracy.
- Package specimens appropriately for transport.
- Store specimen samples according to required conditions, ensuring accurate labeling and adherence to transport protocols.
- Exhibit proficiency in proper collection techniques and processing of all specimens.
- Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Participate in annual departmental training sessions.
- Handle telephone inquiries and provide laboratory results as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Phlebotomy certification as required by state regulations (CA, LA, NV, and WA require certification).
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- At least 6 months of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital environment.
- Reliable transportation with a minimum of 4 years of licensed driving experience and a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned area approximately 100% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, both in person and over the phone.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Compensation Range:
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $23.00/Hr. - USD $25.00/Hr., based on experience and qualifications.
