About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Model Maker to join our team at DAC Worldwide, a world leader in technical training solutions. As a Model Maker, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling components and finished goods to product specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble components and finished goods to product specifications.
  • Complete, modify, and test models, sub-assemblies, and finished goods.
  • Document and maintain manufacturing procedures for specified devices.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot defects and errors.
  • Calibrate, test, and maintain production and test-associated equipment where applicable and designated.
Requirements
  • An excellent eye for detail.
  • Machine shop skills.
  • Experience with hand tools (e.g., Dremel tools).
  • Experience with different types of plastics, acrylics, etc.
  • Experience with silicon rubber molds and a variety of casting materials.
  • Good level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints and other product specs.
  • Good organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable - arrive on time and ready for the day.
  • Ability to frequently lift/move items up to 25 pounds, sometimes over 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • This position requires an organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.
