Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Blount Memorial Hospital. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative to apply principles and techniques of imaging for radiologic diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Operate MRI equipment and ensure proper functioning
  • Develop and implement procedures for patient safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic training
  • Certified in MRI by ARRT or certification eligible
  • Meets the requirements for registry by ARRT
  • Minimum of three months additional MRI imaging techniques with eligibility to apply for ARRT Certification in MRI
  • Extensive MRI experience is desired

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrates self-direction in improving and acquiring the skills and abilities necessary to enhance job performance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
