Chief Meteorologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Meteorologist to lead our weather forecasting team. As a key member of our news organization, you will be responsible for providing accurate and engaging weather forecasts to our audience.

• Weather Forecasting: Develop and deliver accurate and compelling weather forecasts to our audience.
• Severe Weather Updates: Provide immediate weather updates during severe weather events.
• Content Creation: Create engaging content for TV, digital, and social media platforms.
• Technology Utilization: Utilize advanced technology to enhance weather storytelling.
• Field Reporting: Participate in field reporting during weather events.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with production and reporting teams.
• Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior meteorologists.

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in meteorology.
• Expertise: Expertise in weather science and forecasting.
• On-Air Presence: Dynamic on-air presence.
• Radar Data Interpretation: Familiarity with radar data interpretation.
• Graphics and Technology: Proficiency in graphics and technology.
• Certifications: NWA and CBM certifications preferred.
• Language Skills: Bilingual skills and military experience are advantageous.
