Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Steward to join our investment banking team at Synechron Inc. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong ability to analyze and resolve data quality issues. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our data assets, supporting our commitment to informed decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

* Review large datasets for accuracy and consistency, identifying and resolving data quality issues proactively.
* Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and concerns, providing timely updates on data quality metrics and issues.
* Assist in the establishment, modification, and documentation of data stewardship strategies and initiatives to enhance data governance practices.
* Utilize user feedback, concerns, and questions to evaluate and identify data-related issues, coordinating and implementing corrections regularly.
* Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting to support various business needs.
* Quickly grasp training concepts and apply them to improve data management practices within the organization.
* Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Leverage good global geographic knowledge to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
* Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience in trade operations/settlement within an investment banking context.
* Strong experience in data stewardship or related roles.
* Excellent command over English communication (both written and spoken).
* Logical reasoning and critical thinking abilities.
* Strong organizational skills with a focus on decision-making.
* Proficient in SQL for data analysis purposes.
* Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
