The Refrigeration Compliance Engineer is tasked with generating detailed reports and evaluating refrigerant consumption metrics. This role supports refrigeration engineering operations and aids in the management of enterprise refrigerant oversight software systems. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate refrigerant consumption metrics and collaborate with the Refrigeration Engineering team.
- Support the corporate refrigerant compliance initiative across all retail locations.
- Advise division facility teams on refrigerant transitions and compliance with record-keeping standards.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current Federal EPA and State Regulations.
- Effectively communicate to identify and address issues.
- Regularly engage with the Refrigeration Engineering and division facility engineering teams regarding operations, performance metrics, achievements, and potential improvements.
- Utilize existing and new software systems to enhance efficiency in refrigerant management.
- Make significant decisions under close supervision.
- Travel independently as required (15%).
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in the refrigeration sector.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- EPA Type 2 Certification.
- Familiarity with USEPA Section 608 record-keeping mandates for refrigerant management.
- Strong technical writing and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to interpret contracts and architectural drawings.
- Basic financial acumen.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
- Knowledge of refrigerant management software.
- Effective communication skills with management.
- Excellent presentation and writing abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a technician supervisor, advanced refrigeration technician, maintenance engineer, or maintenance manager.
