Position Overview:
The Division of Janey Briscoe Cardiology within the Department of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is actively looking for a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP), specifically a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in the cardiology department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- For Nurse Practitioners (NP): A Master’s degree in Nursing is essential, with a Doctorate in Nursing practice being preferred. Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) is required.
- National certification to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and a valid Texas Board of Nursing license are mandatory.
- For Physician Assistants (PA): A bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field is required, along with completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program. Cardiology specialty training is preferred. A Texas State Board-issued license is necessary.
